Herb Paris Rhizomes

Latin:  Paris quadrifolia

Distribution:  This native plant is now uncommon in the wild.
Habitat:  Shady woodland.
Description:  Perennial.  It is an unusual plant of medium height (up to 30cm), with four large, oval leaves and a single yellowish-green flower from June to October followed by a purplish-black berry.
Other Notes:  Poisonous.

Planting Instructions for Rhizomes:  Plant with about 10cm of soil above the rhizome.
