Geranium sylvaticum

Distribution:  The northern counterpart of the Meadow Cranesbill.  Widespread and locally common in open woods and grassy and heathery places, but rare in southern England , Wales and Ireland.
Habitat:  Open woods, grassland and heathery places in damp, semi-shady situations.
Description:  Native perennial of medium height (up to 60cm) with bright mauve flowers from April to July.

Sowing Instructions for Seeds:  Sow seed in spring in a greenhouse or cold frame. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick them out into individual pots.  Plant the seedlings out into their final position in summer.
